Getting to Hanover

Hannover is well-connected by air, rail, and road, making it easy to reach.

By Plane
Hannover Airport (HAJ) offers direct flights from many major European cities. For international participants coming from outside Europe, we recommend booking a flight to a major hub such as Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam (AMS), or Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)—all of which offer multiple daily connections to Hannover.

By Train
Hannover is a major hub in Germany’s high-speed rail network. Frequent ICE and IC trains connect Hannover with cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, and Amsterdam. All trains arrive at Hannover Hauptbahnhof, located in the city centre and well connected to local transport.

By Bus
Long-distance buses (e.g., FlixBus) operate routes from many European cities to Hannover. Most buses stop at ZOB Hannover, located next to the main train station.
